INITIATIVES The Society
continues to focus its attention on various issues that affect the North Channel
area. Among these are one specific issue that merits attention since it may become
significant in the future. Ontario
Living Legacy
The Killarney Provincial Park Management
Plan Review is now following the the
Lands for Life planning schedule. Ontario had been organized into various
planning regions, and each region had its own Round Table panel. These panels
held public consultation meetings, which provided input to assist
in developing recomendations on the uses for crown lands. These were submitted
to the Ministry of Natural Resources.
